Silence

WHISPERING DEWDROPS

    The world seems to be deserted,

            like a barren core..

            And i sat near those frozen fields

            As if'am a broken winged bird...

            slowly when the twilight falls,

            And the pavements were painted with dew,

            Someone lifted me up and,
            I could realize my soul fill up with chill;

            I looked around to see,

            Who dared to break the loneliness fort..
            But none was there except the dewdrops..

THE AMPHIBIOUS MAN

                                                       
..."Guttiyere,come with me.we can live safely in my dad's bungalow...nobody will ever find us..we can be together forever..Guttiyere,look,olsen told me that everyone calls me 'sea demon'.But am not demon,am human..Then why are you so scared?"
Ihthiyander came out of the pond,covered fully with dirt.

"How many times have you been reading this book? Are you not getting bored"?:Mom asked me..

I've read this book many times and now my mom is irritated with that.. What's so special about this book? I never thought it before.. I read this book for the first time when I was in 8th std and since then, no other books could ever occupy it's position in my heart..

The amphibious man is a science fiction written by Alexander Belyaev..This book take us long back to a time when humans have not started to go deep into the heart of oceans with modern equipments.. 

     It's all about a young guy named Ihthiyander, who is known by the name Sea demon among the fishermen. His step father Dr.salvator who is considered as God by the red Indians owns a bungalow in Reo De Genero, where he runs a clinic as well as does experiments on animals.. 

Ihthiyander is his proud creation who is able to live both on land and water,ie amphibious.. But he prefers water and hates the people on land... Some late nights he swims through the sea, whistling his bugle, with his best friend 'Leading', a dolphin; His special appearance with scales on body and goggles similar to the eyes of frog and the sound of bugle terrifies the fishermen.

The story becomes very exciting when Guttiyere,the beautiful daughter of Balthazar arrives.. Ihthiyander saves her from a suicide attempt and fells in love with her.. But their love couldn't bloom as Pedro sureetta, the owner of the ship 'mydoosa' as well as the employer of Balthazar forcibly marries her,with the silent support of her father..The story moves on when Balthazar come to know that Ihthiyander is his son,lost when he was a child.

    Ihthiyander got trapped in sureettas hands and was imprisoned there. The climax becomes very exciting when Ihthiyander is bought before the judiciary and Dr.salvator is imprisoned for violating the ethics and creating an amphibious man..The Christian missionaries decides to kill Ihthiyander as he is a question mark against the Good's creation. Olsen the friend of Guttiyere, saves him from the prison with the help of jail superintendent. The story ends with Guttiyere's marriage with Olsen and Ihthiyander's escape to a distant island with leading... 

After reading the novel Ihthiyander remained in my heart as a tear drop and deep in my hearts core i wished to get a guy like him..The narrative style through which the life in  sea is depicted is superb which will lead every reader to think about a life there,instead of planning their future in moon and mars...
